Established in 1999, the brothers, Chris & Kirk Bray are leather craftsmen and founders of Billykirk. Inspired by a vintage watch strap found in a little pawn shop in Santa Monica and after 3 years of apprenticeship with a veteran leathermaker, Billykirk was born. The brothers believe in handcrafted, simple and understated designs. They are not head-over-heels with anything mass-produced and this is clearly underscored by their the relationship they developed with the Amish workers. Known to lead a simple lifestyle, the Amish derive satisfaction in creating durable products. To this day, all products are still handmade in the US by using American leather from tanneries such as Horween Leather. All products are finished at their New Jersey location.
Billykirk produces wallets, journals, belts, bags and accessories. And they also collaborate with Levi's. Sebago, Opening Ceremony, Vans etc. Their creations are often featured in popular magazines such as GQ, Vogue, Wallpaper and more.
